Car Club

Car Club

Enterprise Car Club is the city’s official car club provider, offering pay-as-you-go car hire for Newcastle residents and businesses.

The car club enables people to make regular or one-off car journeys without needing to own their own vehicle.

It operates from locations across Newcastle, in both the city centre and residential areas and vehicles can be booked and unlocked via the Enterprise Car Club mobile app.

To be a member of the car club you must be at least 19 years old and hold a full driving licence.

Enterprise Car Club is offering a range of discounts to Newcastle residents, including savings on annual membership. Newcastle businesses who open a corporate account can also get free membership for each driver allocated to the account.

You can find out more about car club membership and how it works by visiting the Enterprise Car Club website.

Frequently asked questions

What is Enterprise Car Club?

Enterprise Car Club provides a range of fuel-efficient cars that you can rent by the hour or the day.

Vehicles are conveniently located in 30 designated car club bays in car parks and on streets throughout the city.

At the end of your reservation, the vehicle should be returned to the same designated bay it was picked up from.

Vehicles are accessible to members 24-hours a day, seven days a week and they can be booked and unlocked via the Enterprise Car Club mobile app.

What are the benefits of being a car club member?

As a car club member, you will have access to a car when you need it, without having to own your own vehicle.

You will only pay for the time that you are using it, whether that’s half an hour or a full day.

Vehicles are picked up and returned to their own designated bays, which means you will always have a space to return to.

You do not need to pay for tax, MOT, servicing, breakdown cover or insurance as that’s all covered by the membership.

As vehicles are booked and unlocked via the Enterprise Car Club mobile app you can hire a vehicle any time, without having to fit in with Enterprise branch opening hours.

And because Enterprise Car Club operates nationally, members will also have access to a wider network of 1,300 pay-as-you-go cars and vans located across the UK.

How do car clubs reduce the environmental impact of owning a car?

Car clubs enable people to make car journeys when they need to without having to own their own vehicle.

At other times people can opt for other forms of transport, such as walking, cycling or using public transport.

This helps to reduce the number of car journeys on our roads, which in turn helps to reduce congestion and harmful traffic emissions.
