Calling Newcastle's 12-17 year olds!
Borrow and read 5 books in the Autumn Term for a chance to win one of five £20 Travelling Man vouchers!
Rules:
- The challenge will run from 3rd September 2024 to 20th December 2024.
- You must borrow five physical books within the above period over at least two visits to Newcastle Libraries to be entered automatically into the prize draw.
- Ebooks and eaudiobooks borrowed through Borrowbox can also be counted towards your total of 5 books. If you are participating in this way, please email information@newcastle.gov.uk with your library membership number so we can ensure you are included in the draw.
- Any books from the catalogue at Newcastle Libraries count towards your total. You can borrow books from any branch library within the city.
- The prize draw will take place in early January and winners will be contacted by mid January. Any prizes unclaimed by February will be re-drawn.

We have young adult book collections at all of our branch libraries, but you will find our largest collection on our Level 4 Gallery at City Library. If you can't make it into City Library, don't worry - you can use our library catalogue to reserve any title and have it sent to your local branch for collection!

Our Libraries are (mostly) free!
Anybody can join Newcastle Libraries for free and it costs nothing to borrow books, eBooks or CDs. Our board games and DVDs are also free to borrow.
It's free to use our WiFi or computers with internet and access to scanners.
We no longer make overdue charges if you return an item to us late, and it is free to reserve an item that is in-stock at Newcastle Libraries and have it sent to your local branch for collection.
