Objecting to admission arrangements

You can object to the Schools Adjudicator (OSA) if you are unhappy about the policy that an admission authority has agreed. Objections must be made by 15 May for admission policies agreed by 28 February.

Co-ordinated scheme for Newcastle upon Tyne

All councils must publish an annual scheme describing how they will co-ordinate the reception and transfer admission arrangements for all maintained schools and academies within their area. The scheme is agreed by 28 February each year.

Annual admissions report

The council is required to publish an annual report describing how well admission arrangements in Newcastle worked in the previous year. A copy is also sent to the Office of the Schools Adjudicator.
