Private Hire Vehicle Licence Renewal

The Private Hire Vehicle licence renewal online application form  will be emailed to proprietors 4 to 6 weeks prior to licence expiry. The vehicle must be pass the Compliance test prior to the expiry of the vehicle licence. A valid application to renew the licence must be submitted at least 21 days priory to the licence expiry date.

You must complete the online application form, and upload the V5 registration certificate or sales invoice and a valid certificate of insurance (which covers the vehicle for the use of private hire).  The licence fee will need to be made at the time of application. The Private Hire vehicle renewal fee is £240 plus the relevant test fees.

Once the application form has been submitted and received, a test slot will be booked and you will receive a booking confirmation email. You will then be provided with a link to make payment for the test fees.

If the vehicle is less that three years old the vehicle will be subject to an annual vehicle compliance test. If the vehicle is greater than three years old the vehicle will be subject to an additional six monthly interim test.
