The last Blakelaw Library pop-up library service in 2024 will be Friday 20 December. The Blakelaw Library pop-up library service will resume in 2025 on Friday 3 January.

Blakelaw Library is a pop-up library service, bringing you a range of activities from our new location at Leisure United Blakelaw:

Storytime - Wednesdays, 10:30am - 11am (term time) and Fridays 4pm - 4:30pm (term time)

Craft Club - Wednesdays 11am - 12pm (school holidays)

Library Pick n Mix Group - Wednesdays, 11am - 12:30pm

Knit & Crochet Club - Fridays, 1:30pm - 3:30pm

Universal Credit Support - Fridays, 2pm - 4pm

All activities are drop-in and offer a friendly welcome. For more one-off activities and events, visit newcastlelibraries.eventbrite.co.uk

A small selection of books will be available to browse and borrow. For public computer, printing and photocopying services, your nearest branches are Kenton Library and Outer West Library.

Pop up library books at Blakelaw Library

We provide a book reservation and collection service using Newcastle Libraries | Discover for Blakelaw residents - your reserved books can be collected at Blakelaw Library during our opening times.  Just log in with your Library Card number and PIN. 

Alternatively, if you you are unable to visit your local library due to either permanent or temporary ill health, please use our Home Delivery Service.
