Jobs@SkillsHub is an online portal available on our website www.skillshubnewcastle.co.uk which provides a free vacancy advertising and handling service to fill jobs or work experience opportunities. Our Employment Advisors can also offer general advice about recruitment and assist in navigating the new employment initiatives that have recently been announced by Government, such as additional apprenticeship funding and Kickstart, a wage subsidy for recruiting 16-24 year olds.
 
Jobs@SkillsHub has the ability to job match with individuals seeking employment whilst providing information on events and training, which can not only help move people closer to work but also assist employers in finding providers who can deliver training to potential employees.
 
We are also working very closely with the National Careers Service to support any businesses who may have staff under threat of redundancy to facilitate access to training funds to re-train along with intensive employability support.
 
We’re encouraging residents, providers and employers to take a look at the website and set up an account. Staff are available to support with navigating the site and can post vacancies on an employer’s behalf, if necessary. The Jobs@SkillsHub team can be contacted on 0191 5806601.
